Se trata del <strong>Palacio de Bellas Artes<\/strong>, inmueble admirado por su gran arquitectura y estructura basados en el <strong>Art Noveau. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El arquitecto responsable \u2013en un inicio\u2013 de dicha obra fue <strong>Adamo Boari<\/strong> de origen italiano, a quien el presidente en turno, <strong>Porfirio D\u00edaz<\/strong> design\u00f3 la tarea de edificar un inmueble digno del reconocimiento internacional. Fue as\u00ed como se erigi\u00f3 una estructura de acero y concreto, t\u00e9cnica novedosa para la \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, se implement\u00f3 una cobertura de m\u00e1rmol y se instauraron esculturas en la fachada, todas hechas de m\u00e1rmol, mientras que la c\u00fapula, dise\u00f1ada por <strong>Gerza Maroti<\/strong> \u2013artista h\u00fangaro\u2013 fue hecha de bronce.<\/p>\n<p>Entre el dise\u00f1o del recinto, representativo a lo largo de la historia de M\u00e9xico, destaca su peculiar tel\u00f3n de cristal, mismo que fue construido en Nueva York y pesa aproximadamente 22 toneladas. Este fragmento, que por s\u00ed misma representa una obra de arte puesto que no tiene comparaci\u00f3n en el mundo. Es una de las creaciones que nunca ha sido repetida y es mundialmente reconocida.<\/p>\n<p>Su estructura consta de un muro r\u00edgido que se levanta a manera de compuerta para proteger a los espectadores en caso de incendio en el foro del recinto. Conformado por 206 tableros de 0.90 m2, cada uno y aproximadamente un mill\u00f3n de piezas de cristal opalescente. Mide 12.5 m por 14.5, con un espesor de 32 cm. Su peso aproximado es de 22 toneladas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arte y dise\u00f1o innovador<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El tel\u00f3n de cristal se caracteriza principalmente porque no cuenta con pliegues y tampoco se enrolla, es una estructura met\u00e1lica fija que sube en 90 segundos sin emitir sonido alguno.<\/p>\n<p>Diversos especialistas se refieren al dise\u00f1o de esta cortina de cristal como original y poco convencional \u201csus sublimes caracter\u00edsticas lo catalogan como una obra original, mismas que desde d\u00e9cadas atr\u00e1s se han mantenido inc\u00f3lumes en uno de los sitios m\u00e1s
