Hoy el banco genera utilidad y est\u00e1 bien capitalizado para cumplir con su funci\u00f3n\u201d, asegur\u00f3 Jes\u00fas Alberto Cano V\u00e9lez, director de SHF.<\/p>\n<p>Al recibir el premio Hombres y Mujeres de la Casa 2017 en la categor\u00eda Sector P\u00fablico, el directivo enfatiz\u00f3 que hoy SHF es un actor clave de la industria de la vivienda, al financiar el 30% de la construcci\u00f3n de vivienda nueva en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecibimos SHF con una cartera vencida de casi el 30%, con la necesidad de generar las reservas preventivas para empezar a sanear el banco. Durante estos cinco a\u00f1os, hemos generado 13,000 millones de pesos de reservas preventivas. Los primeros tres a\u00f1os, hasta 2015, tuvimos p\u00e9rdidas, pero 2016 tuvimos utilidades por m\u00e1s de 200 millones de pesos y este a\u00f1o vamos a terminar con utilidades de 800 millones de a\u00f1os\u201d, apunt\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed, asegur\u00f3 Cano V\u00e9lez, en cinco a\u00f1os \u201cle hemos dado la vuelta al banco\u201d, lo que se materializa ne el apoyo a 450 desarrolladores de vivienda en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoy, a cinco a\u00f1os de haber asumido la responsabilidad, me siento satisfecho de haber logrado enderezar el banco, pas\u00e1ndolo de un banco dormido, un gigante dormido, como yo dec\u00eda, a un banco en funciones, en operaci\u00f3n, solvente, ya que genera utilidad, que cumple con su misi\u00f3n de fomentar el sector de la vivienda\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro parte, para Cano V\u00e9lez, recibir el Premio HyM de la Casa, representa una \u201cdistinci\u00f3n honrosa\u201d.
