Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) revel\u00f3 el plan maestro para transformar una estaci\u00f3n de trenes de la ciudad de Filadelfia, en Estados Unidos, mediante un proyecto de usos mixtos en el barrio de la 30th Street Station. <\/p>\n

La firma de arquitectura proyecta una total transformaci\u00f3n de la estaci\u00f3n inaugurada en 1933, as\u00ed como su entorno, mejorando el dise\u00f1o y contribuyendo a reducir el tr\u00e1fico de la ciudad; adem\u00e1s, pretende a\u00f1adir a la zona nuevos locales comerciales, restaurantes y plazas p\u00fablicas.<\/p>\n\"Station_Plaza_at_Market_Street\"<\/a>\n

El objetivo es lograr que el nodo intermodal sea capaz de gestionar alrededor de 30,000 viajes diarios, transformando el hist\u00f3rico edificio y mejorando adem\u00e1s los flujos peatonales.<\/p>\n

El proyecto incluye un nuevo vest\u00edbulo subterr\u00e1neo equipado con un tragaluz, el cual conectar\u00e1 la estaci\u00f3n de trenes con la red de Metro de Filadelfia. Se proponen tambi\u00e9n una serie de parques y edificios de uso mixto con restaurantes y tiendas comerciales para crear una red de espacios p\u00fablicos.<\/p>\n\"SOM<\/a>\n

Los nuevos edificios de la Universidad de Drexel tendr\u00e1n conexiones con los sistemas de transporte vehicular, peatonal y para ciclistas, reduciendo as\u00ed la congesti\u00f3n del barrio.<\/p>\n

En la propuesta, dise\u00f1ada en asociaci\u00f3n con Parsons Brinckerhoff, Olin, y de RH & A Asesores, se concibe no s\u00f3lo como una puerta de entrada hacia el noreste de los 30,000 pasajeros que embarquen en sus trenes cada ma\u00f1ana, sino tambi\u00e9n como un destino emblem\u00e1tico lleno de lugares ir de compras, reunirse y comer. <\/p>\n
