y el Museo Soumaya<\/em><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Como parte de los festejos del D\u00eda de San Patricio, el d\u00eda de hoy diversos inmuebles de todas partes del mundo como M\u00e9xico, Dublin, Nueva York, Italia, entre otras ciudades, se vestir\u00e1n de verde gracias a la iniciativa Global Greening, que pinta de de ese color a monumentos e insignias en diferentes pa\u00edses alrededor del mundo.<\/p>\n<p>La celebraci\u00f3n incluir\u00e1 recitos emblem\u00e1ticos como el \u00c1ngel de Independencia y el Museo Soumaya Fundaci\u00f3n Carlos Slim, en el caso de M\u00e9xico; y sitios como la Gran Muralla China, las Cataratas del Niagara, la monumental ciudad de Petra, el Cristo Redentor de Rio de Janeiro, las pir\u00e1mides de Egipto por mencionar algunos, en otras ciudades del mundo.<\/p>\n<p>El D\u00eda de San Patricio conmemora el fallecimiento del Santo Patr\u00f3n\u00a0de\u00a0Irlanda y se celebra a nivel mundial con desfiles, presentaciones de bandas, interpretaci\u00f3n de m\u00fasica tradicional irlandesa de gaitas, adem\u00e1s de te\u00f1ir de verde r\u00edos que corren en los interiores de ciudades, o iluminar inmuebles hist\u00f3ricos, ya que el religioso usaba una t\u00fanica de ese color.<\/p>\n<p>Pese a que en un inicio esta festividad era \u00fanicamente religiosa, desde el a\u00f1o de 1903 se hizo p\u00fablica y su celebraci\u00f3n es considerada como la m\u00e1s concurrida en el mundo dedicada al santoral.<\/p>\n<p>En M\u00e9xico se recuerda la heroica participaci\u00f3n del\u00a0Batall\u00f3n de San Patricio\u00a0en la defensa del pa\u00eds ante la invasi\u00f3n estadounidense de 1846-1848, y que estaba integrado por inmigrantes europeos que lucharon al lado de las tropas mexicanas, principalmente en la defensa de la plaza de Fuerte de Churubusco.<\/p>\n<p>Sonja Hyland, embajadora de Irlanda en M\u00e9xico, se dijo agradecida por el apoyo de instituciones como el Conaculta y el Gobierno de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico para esta celebraci\u00f3n en donde se festeja lo mejor de Irlanda en M\u00e9xico y lo mejor de M\u00e9xico en Irlanda.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La
