El 2025 represent\u00f3 un a\u00f1o de ajuste para la industria, en el que se consolid\u00f3 una fase de desaceleraci\u00f3n. Las cifras muestran un comportamiento mixto: en noviembre, la actividad industrial del sector registr\u00f3 un crecimiento anual de 3.0%, mientras que la inversi\u00f3n en construcci\u00f3n cay\u00f3 1.6% anual en octubre. A ello se sum\u00f3 una contracci\u00f3n de 8.0% anual en la producci\u00f3n de las empresas constructoras en noviembre, reflejando un entorno operativo todav\u00eda complejo.<\/p>\n<p>Este desempe\u00f1o respondi\u00f3 a una combinaci\u00f3n de factores. Por un lado, la menor inversi\u00f3n privada y un entorno de incertidumbre (particularmente en materia arancelaria), limitaron el arranque de nuevos proyectos. Por otro, la conclusi\u00f3n de obras emblem\u00e1ticas de la administraci\u00f3n anterior redujo de manera natural el volumen de actividad, sin que estas fueran sustituidas de inmediato por nuevos proyectos de escala similar.<\/p>\n<p>A este contexto se a\u00f1adi\u00f3 un deterioro en la confianza de las empresas constructoras a lo largo de 2025. Los indicadores de percepci\u00f3n empresarial se mantuvieron en terreno pesimista, reflejando cautela frente a la evoluci\u00f3n de la demanda y la rentabilidad de los proyectos. Esta menor confianza se tradujo en decisiones de inversi\u00f3n m\u00e1s conservadoras y en una ralentizaci\u00f3n en el inicio de nuevas obras, especialmente en el segmento privado.<\/p>\n<p>Las presiones inflacionarias tambi\u00e9n jugaron un papel relevante. En diciembre de 2025, la inflaci\u00f3n en el sector construcci\u00f3n se ubic\u00f3 en 3.93% anual, por encima de la inflaci\u00f3n general, que fue de 3.69%. Si bien algunos insumos mostraron cierta moderaci\u00f3n respecto a los m\u00e1ximos observados en a\u00f1os previos, los costos de materiales clave y de mano de obra permanecieron elevados, afectando m\u00e1rgenes y complicando la planeaci\u00f3n financiera de diversos proyectos.<\/p>\n<p>Bajo este panorama, 2026 se perfila como un a\u00f1o crucial para el sector. Si bien la industria proviene de un periodo retador, no se observan se\u00f1ales de un debilitamiento estructural. Las capacidades productivas, el capital humano y la base empresarial se mantienen, lo que permite anticipar un cambio gradual en el ciclo de la construcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Las expectativas para 2026 se sustentan en una combinaci\u00f3n de factores coyunturales y estructurales. Por un lado, se espera una reactivaci\u00f3n paulatina de la inversi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica, tanto p\u00fablica como privada, conforme el entorno macroecon\u00f3mico muestre mayor estabilidad y se reduzca la incertidumbre. Por otro, los procesos de relocalizaci\u00f3n contin\u00faan abriendo oportunidades, particularmente en regiones con ventajas log\u00edsticas y de conectividad, lo que podr\u00eda traducirse en mayor demanda de obra, insumos, servicios especializados y empleo.<\/p>\n<p>A ello se suman los planes de infraestructura (en especial los proyectos carreteros, ferroviarios y de vivienda), que pueden generar un efecto de arrastre sobre diversas ramas de la industria y fortalecer la competitividad de mediano plazo. Adem\u00e1s, eventos de alto impacto econ\u00f3mico, como el Mundial, podr\u00edan impulsar la actividad en segmentos espec\u00edficos, concentr\u00e1ndose principalmente en infraestructura urbana y de movilidad, la remodelaci\u00f3n de estadios, proyectos hoteleros, comerciales y de servicios, as\u00ed como obras complementarias en ciudades sede y zonas metropolitanas.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de su impacto puntual, este tipo de eventos contribuye a mejorar el \u00e1nimo empresarial, adelantar decisiones de inversi\u00f3n y fortalecer la planeaci\u00f3n de proyectos con beneficios que trascienden el corto plazo.
