Dicho certamen reconocer\u00e1 a las startups que presenten las soluciones m\u00e1s innovadoras para hacer frente a diferentes problem\u00e1ticas que engloban al sector turismo.<\/p>\n<p>En esta edici\u00f3n, la OMT buscar\u00e1 propuestas entorno a seis aspectos concretos:<strong>\u00a0Participaci\u00f3n de la comunidad<\/strong>; <strong>Econom\u00edas verdes y azules<\/strong>;<strong> Creaci\u00f3n de capital ecol\u00f3gico y sostenible<\/strong>; <strong>Tecnolog\u00eda beneficiosa en el \u00e1mbito del turismo<\/strong>; <strong>Educaci\u00f3n en materia de turismo<\/strong> y <strong>Empoderamiento de las mujeres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Para lograr los objetivos, se seleccionar\u00e1 a las 12 startups con las mejores propuestas, dos por cada uno de los ejes, las cuales recibir\u00e1n apoyo para su implementaci\u00f3n. Una vez seleccionadas, las propuestas ser\u00e1n presentadas a los Estados Miembros, Miembros Afiliados e inversionistas y se brindar\u00e1 la oportunidad de establecer contactos.<\/p>\n<p>Sumado a ello, la OMT ofrecer\u00e1 la posibilidad de presentar una idea en el D\u00eda de Demostraci\u00f3n especial de la Organizaci\u00f3n y el acceso al apoyo tecnol\u00f3gico ofertado por ellos. Asimismo, se brindar\u00e1 un programa de tutor\u00eda con sesiones individuales y en grupo sobre cuestiones esenciales para el turismo.<\/p>\n<p>Al respecto, el secretario general de la OMT, <strong>Zurab Pololikashviki,<\/strong> destac\u00f3 que el turismo ofrece la oportunidad de despertar su potencial como transformador de vidas. Debido a ello, la organizaci\u00f3n anima a todas las startups alrededor del mundo a proponer sus ideas. Adem\u00e1s, la OMT incentiva a los participantes a lograr que el turismo se convierta en un defensor de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible.<\/p>\n<p>El plazo de presentaci\u00f3n se encuentra abierto y <strong>cerrar\u00e1 el 31 de junio de 2022<\/strong>, para anunciar a los ganadores durante el mes de octubre.<\/p>\n<h2>Awake Tourism Challenge<\/h2>\n<p>En 2020 se llev\u00f3 a cabo el primer<em> Awake Tourism Challenge<\/em>, que cont\u00f3 con el apoyo de m\u00e1s de 25 socios de todo el ecosistema mundial de la innovaci\u00f3n. Con ello, se logr\u00f3 atraer a<strong> m\u00e1s de 10,000 participantes de 150 pa\u00edses<\/strong> diferentes.<\/p>\n<p>A los ganadores del primer certamen se les ofreci\u00f3 la oportunidad de reunirse con ministros, empresas e inversionistas durante el evento final. Adem\u00e1s, se les brind\u00f3 la oportunidad de establecer contactos para posibles financiamientos y ejecuci\u00f3n de
