Fue lanzada en mayo 2020 y es dirigida por<strong> Leilani Farha<\/strong>, ex relatora especial de la ONU sobre el derecho a la vivienda. Adem\u00e1s, tiene como misi\u00f3n tomar acciones para acabar con la falta de vivienda, la falta de asequibilidad y los desalojos a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n<p>Desde su lanzamiento, <strong>The Shift<\/strong> ha ganado reputaci\u00f3n internacional por ser una autoridad de la vivienda como derecho humano, a pesar de ser una organizaci\u00f3n bastante joven. Ya que, en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os financieras inmobiliarias han transformado la <strong>vivienda en una mercanc\u00eda o una comodidad<\/strong>. Por lo tanto, dejan a las personas sin un lugar donde vivir s\u00f3lo para adquirir m\u00e1s edificios.<\/p>\n<h2>Iniciativas gubernamentales<\/h2>\n<p>Una de las estrategias utilizadas por el movimiento es acercarse a los gobiernos de los pa\u00edses para que realicen cambios mediante reformas legislativas. Por ejemplo, en <strong>Canad\u00e1<\/strong> implementaron la iniciativa de <em>Rigth to home<\/em> en conjunto con el <a href=\"https:\/\/canurb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Canadian Urban Institute<\/em><\/a>; la cual se trata de\u00a0 realizar una reuni\u00f3n peri\u00f3dica de funcionarios municipales comprometidos para elaborar estrategias en pro de garantizar el derecho a la vivienda.<\/p>\n<p>Por otra parte, se encuentra el <em>Political Engagement<\/em>, aqu\u00ed The Shift colabora con todos los niveles de gobierno para desarrollar legislaciones sobre el derecho a la vivienda. As\u00ed lo han hecho en pa\u00edses como <strong>Noruega<\/strong>, <strong>Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> y<strong> Chile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Campa\u00f1as<\/h2>\n<p><em>Push <\/em>es una pel\u00edcula documental sobre la<strong> crisis de vivienda<\/strong> en diferentes partes del mundo. La obra ha sido clave para el movimiento, pues, su proyecci\u00f3n logr\u00f3 influir cambios legislativos en <strong>Dinamarca<\/strong> y <strong>Canad\u00e1<\/strong>. Asimismo, ayud\u00f3 a impulsar el activismo de inquilinos en <strong>Estados Unidos<\/strong>, <strong>Europa<\/strong> y <strong>Reino Unido<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Global Homelessness Action\u00a0 <\/em>es una iniciativa global que ofrece a las personas sin hogar reclamar colectivamente su <strong>derecho a la vivienda<\/strong> y exigir a los gobiernos una acci\u00f3n urgente. Funciona a trav\u00e9s de testimonios en videos, audios y escritos. Hasta el momento, The Shift ha trabajado con <strong>36 organizaciones<\/strong> asociadas \u00a0en los cinco continentes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Te puede interesar: <a href=\"https:\/\/centrourbano.com\/opinion\/blog-de-urbanismo\/push\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Push<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De igual manera, con <em>Tenant Mobilizing Against Renovictions<\/em> la organizaci\u00f3n apoya a los inquilinos para desafiar las pr\u00e1cticas de los propietarios corporativos. Puesto que, utilizan las renovaciones y el aumento de alquiler para expulsar a las personas de sus hogares. Esta campa\u00f1a tiene presencia en <strong>Canad\u00e1<\/strong>, <strong>Alemania<\/strong> y <strong>Reino Unido<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00abA estas alturas, nuestros gobiernos son muy conscientes de las consecuencias duraderas de desalojar a la gente de sus hogares, por no mencionar la presi\u00f3n financiera que supone para otros servicios p\u00fablicos, como nuestros sistemas de acogida.
